PRAYER FOR OUR GRANDPARENTS:

Father God, I come to You today as a parent, seeking Your guidance and help in raising my children. I am far from perfect, but I want to do my best to raise my children in a way that honors You and prepares them for a happy and fulfilling life.

Teach me how to direct my children in Your truth and the ways of life everlasting. Give me wisdom and patience as I teach them about Your love and Your commandments. Guide me with knowledge of how and when to discipline my children appropriately with compassion, grace, and mercy.

Help me be a good example to them and show them how to live a life that is pleasing to You. Please reveal Your character to them even when I make mistakes as a parent. Empower me to create a loving home environment where my children feel safe, secure, and surrounded by Your love always.

Help me communicate in a language my children can understand without provoking them to anger. Help them to receive words of instruction in the spirit of love and know I have their best interest at heart. Help me teach them to be loving, respectful, kind, fair, generous, and compassionate, always pointing them to You as their source of love, and strength.

I know children are precious to You and how they are nurtured in childhood can impact them throughout their entire life. As a parent with flaws, I feel so inadequate for this task. Lord, I cannot do this without You! Please help me to be the parent that my children need. Give me the strength, wisdom, and patience to parent my children with mercy and grace.

I ask that my children grow up to love and follow You all the days of their lives and when they enter parenthood, may they also teach their children Your ways, principles, and truths.

I trust, believe, and ask this all in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
